![]() ![]() On the Move: Jousting champ to teach swordfighting at Burt Reynolds Institute By staff report - Friday, August 6, 2010 Three-time international jousting champion Cynthia Morrison has been hired as theatrical sword technique instructor for the Burt Reynolds Institute in Jupiter. The CBS network recently featured institute students in a segment of “Good Morning South Florida” that included a choreographed fight scene created and directed by Morrison. She is the founding director of the Palm Beach Jousting Club formed in 2001, www.palmbeachweb.com/pbjc. Acting students will learn basic stage and film swordplay principles with various types of swords, props and combat movement. As they advance they will engage in mock sword battles as they would appear in films. |
